Join Dan Fitzpatrick in this exciting brewing class, where we will explore the art of crafting exquisite wines and beers using foraged ingredients.

In this class, we will delve into the fascinating world of wild harvested food and herbal wines and meads, exploring the wide range of flavors and aromas that can be achieved through foraging ingredients.

But that's not all. We will also sample several delicious brews to help you gain a deeper understanding of the nuances of flavor and aroma. We will also discuss the process of wild fermentation, a natural and ancient technique used to create complex flavors and aromas without relying on commercial yeast.

And, of course, we will be harvesting and preparing dandelions for wine, a perfect example of using foraged ingredients and wild fermentation to create a delicious and distinctive beverage. I will guide you through various brewing techniques, sharing notes and insights on how to create complex flavors and aromas.

In this class you will create a Vision Board and receive an Oracle Card reading.

Vision boards are a collection of images or objects arranged in a way to help you manifest your goals or vision. Vision boards are highly versatile. You can use them to manifest your personal goals or create a visual representation of a personal vision statement. They’re perfect for helping you envision your dream life. But you can also use a vision board to outline your professional goals. Poster boards, old magazines, glue and scissors provided, please feel free to bring your own images.

Oracle card decks are typically more positive than tarot cards. Oracle decks are much brighter.  You’ll pull something telling you what your soul is struggling with and how to take steps to repair it.

They’re also more interpretive than tarot cards — they can mean whatever you want them to mean.

After our wine making class, sip some homemade wine and paint away. You will be guided step by step to make a beautiful nature inspired painting on canvas. Must be 21 for the adult beverages. Younger painters are welcome, we will have non alcoholic beverages also. Sign up for both classes and receive a discount.

Learn about the ancient art form of Henna Body Art. In class we will talk about what is Henna, it's history and how to care for it.  You will be given 2 cones of Henna and shown the basic designs of Henna and practice the art form in class. You will also receive a Henna design from the Artist.  Class is open for ages 10 to adult.  Children 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult.  Gretchen has been an Henna Artist for 10 yrs.

Gretchen will guide you through a beginner Hatha yoga class.  Class will include adaptations for all yoga levels and end with a guided relaxation.

Dan and Gretchen will be hosting a Native American inspired sweat lodge ceremony.  Please contact them for more information 815-440-3442.  Please arrive on time, please have comfortable cool cotton clothes to sweat in, in honoring our ancestors it is recommended that women wear a skirt or wrap.   There is no cost.   You are asked to bring a dish to pass for the feast that will follow the lodge. Also it is customary to bring a gift or offering for the leader of the lodge and fire keeper of the lodge.
